Fire Suppression

A photoelectric and ionization smoke detection system was installed in all areas in the data center allowing the whole room to be protected. The photoelectric smoke detector is known to be sensitive to a wider range of combustible materials, while the ionization protects from super-heating of flaming combustibles.

Several sets of sprinkles and an FM-200 are also installed to work hand-in-hand with the smoke detection system to extinguish fires.

To provide an early warning should there be a fire, Omadata has installed smoke detectors. Our smoke detectors works by detecting particles generated by smoldering components prior to the development of flame. This allows investigation, interruption of power, and manual fire suppression using hand held fire extinguishers before the fire grows to a large size

As for passive fire protection elements, Omadata has been equipped with certified fireproof wall around the data center, so a fire can be restricted to a portion of the facility for a limited time in the event of the failure of the active fire protection systems, or if they were not installed.
